The O'Connors had a busy 2024!
Kieran continues to manage technology for ESM schools. He also coordinated and directed many Scrabble tournaments with his friend Josh, including large tournaments in Albany and Lake George.
Much stays the same for Inge - teaching at SU, playing pickleball, attending Dan + Shay concerts, and helping her parents who live nearby. This year included lots of travel - to Orlando (Universal with Matthew, Nancy and Alice), Jacksonville (pickleball with Maureen and Randy), Seattle (with Alice to see Emily), to New York City (to see Nancy conduct Titanique), to Rochester and Central New York (to see all but one Nazareth University women's soccer game), to New Jersey (to see US Women's soccer and bonus - see Nolan, Lauren and Marianne), to Maine (to see Nina and Douglas while Nancy was working on a Waitress production), to London (for fun with the girls where we got to see Sarah and Giles Bridge), to Eischoll, Switzerland (where Matthew joined us for Raban and Naomi's wedding), to Providence (with Matthew to send Nancy off on her tour), to Detroit (with Emily for Sarah Greenwood's wedding), and to Cleveland (to see Nancy's A Beautiful Noise conducting debut). Phew!
Emily is Process Transfer Manager for Parse Biosciences in Seattle, plays rec soccer on multiple teams, ran a half marathon, loves hiking, and really enjoys having her own apartment.
Matthew lives in Boston and spends his time sports betting and playing Scrabble. He ran several Scrabble tournaments this year in Providence, RI and enjoys traveling to tournaments around the country. Matthew is also currently pursuing a Masters degree in Applied Data Analytics at Boston College.
Nancy is traveling across the US working for the first National Tour of A Beautiful Noise, the Neil Diamond Musical, where she is the Associate Conductor and a pianist. She is loving getting to visit so many new cities and seeing family and friends! She is also still working for the Boston Children’s Chorus as their arranger.
Alice is now a Junior at Nazareth University in Rochester where she's majoring in Physical Therapy and plays soccer. She started most games playing, well, most every position on the field. They made it to the Empire 8 Championship game this year where Alice was awarded the Empire 8 Torchbearer Award which recognizes student athletes with the highest GPA participating in the Championship game. Alice also traveled quite a bit this year, including an incredible trip to Ireland with her friend Catherine to see the country and to see Taylor Swift in Dublin!
Gracie, despite her advanced age, continues to graciously put up with Rosie's rambunctious nature.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2025!
